It's a lot of fun , food is very good also very expensive . The fun part is that Richie likes to sing & on Fri. & Sat nites he brings in a full ochestra , but you would not hear it unless you wander upstairs , the bar is hopping , the ladies are dressed & Frank Sinatra would love this place.

YES!! My husband took me for V-day, and here's a copy of my post in Virtual Cafe titled. "Thanks to my hubby for a FABULOUS V-DAY!". See the post for replies from others.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Last night, my husband surprised me with a lovely Valentine's dinner at Richard Cecere's in Montclair. We're not usually ones to make a big deal on V-day, so I thought nothing of the fact that we had no plans for this weekend. Last night at around 6:00, he tells me I should get dressed so we can be out of the house by 8:00. No clue as to what we're doing or where we're going.

So we get dressed and head out to Montclair. Back behind the Lackawana area, by the enclosed tennis courts, is a nice little area of restaurants that I never knew about. We entered a gorgeous historic brick building with no real signage out front. I still had no idea where the heck we were but I could tell this place was special as soon as we walked in. I only got a quick view of the first floor, but it looked like a classy 1930's style bar. We were escorted to the 2nd floor via an elevator. I stepped out into what felt like a supper club from the Rat Pack era - tuxedo-clad staff, velvet banquettes, a live big band playing, and show girls dancing!! WOW!!

We sat at a table with one of those lovely velvet banquettes wrapped around it, ordered some cocktails, and proceeded to have a wonderful dinner while being entertained by a 18 piece band and singing/dancing showgirls. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was fun and romantic at the same time, and the entertainment was top-notch. At various points in the evening, we cuddled close and smooched in the cozy booth while listening to Richie Cesere serenade the crowd. It was a VERY romantic night, and it reminded me that I have the best husband in the world. Not because he dropped a pretty penny on the whole things, but because he went out of his way to find something fun & interesting to surprise me with, just to make me happy. Thank you for a wonderful evening honey!

So folks, if you want to make your sweetie swoon and have a nice night out, may I suggest:
