I stand corrected, I guess the signature feature was "new" in a manner of speaking.
But now Jamie went and disabled it again. And I was just about to get a corporate sponsor for my signature line... |

The problem with the .sigs is that you end up reading the same damn thing over and over and over again and can't easily separate the actual message from the .sig. There are lines between the messages and lines within the messages between the message and the sig.... what's so fun about seeing the same phrase over and over again a hundred times? Even the funny ones get annoying after you've read them more than a couple times.
It would be OK if the reader had the option to block them.

Well, perhaps they could come up with a better way to distinguish the sig from the message? I've been on PLENTY of forums sites, and they all had sigs, which were never a problem. if the sig was a bit SEPERATE from the message, it might be easier, and also, have a size limit.
or what was mentioned earlier, just have an option button in the users' menu to turn OFF viewing signatures. I think that's plenty reasonable. :3 |

i would suggest the signatures to be placed under the picture/MOLer info, on the "author section".
that way the ones interested can have their fun and will not be so distracting when reading the messages. |
