I realize that it is too much to expect, but perhaps the QuizBowl's promoters will reopen their Team Registration process for a couple of extra weeks, to allow for the added "buzz" that the current storm-induced anxiety has lent this worthy event.
Indeed, why not attempt to glean additional profit from your meteorological misfortune? As We on the Ethereal Plane always say, "When The Gods give you snowfalls, make windfalls!"
For example, how about permitting the formation of a new (very adult) team, comprised entirely of entities from The Great Beyond? You could even offer "Blizzard Sale" pricing (lower than your normal registration fees, since most of Us are, after all, on fixed incomes)!
Just an idea from a semi-retired supernatural entity who is currently wearing socks under his sandals, as the temperature here in Boca is a brisk 60 degrees...
