Check out this fabulous advert for Guiness for the British market (you can guess why it won't be shown in the US...!): http://www.whizzvidshosting.com/noitulove/BWread.html and a very sexy one for British lingerie store 'Agent Provocateur' (there is now a branch in SoHo, NYC) featuring Aussie superstar Kylie Minogue. Not for those of a sensitive disposition LOL!: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8623345080381634720&q=kylie+minogue

Why wouldn't the Guiness ad be shown in the US? I can see the lingerie ad not being shown here, I couldn't even show that on my computer here in my office. |

something a bit more toned down than agent provocateur, here's one for an insurance company. http://www.boardsmag.com/screeningroom/animation/2397/ |

Miss L Toe, As the Chairman of the Concerned United Kingdom Citizens for Family Values I must protest your posting of the two ads. While the nearly naked woman advertising underwear was disgusting and certainly not something children should be exposed to on the tele, the alcholic beverage ad is completely beyond the pale. How can you advocate evolution when everyone know that the world and all its creatures were created in seven days by the Deity? Our General Council, Sir Harry Cheathem of Dewey, Cheatham and HOwe, Solicitors will be contacting you shortly. |

Dave: Love those adverts. I just hope they really are effective and make people stop and think. I still can't get over how many people wear fur coats here....it is particularly nauseating to see women wearing their fur coats and carrying their dachsunds and chihuahas...how would they like their dogs to be skinned and draped around their necks? Grrrr. It pains me to see two fur shops in Millburn Avenue and furs on sale at Short Hills Mall. In Britain the shops wouldn't be in business....it's a big taboo to be seen in a fur coat there (the only exception really is the Queen and she rarely wears one). |

Lou - you're right, that's a great commercial. Too bad the concept was wasted on McDonald's. |
