In the vein of "I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out..."

I saw Billy Joel at the Garden last night, and one of his roadies came on stage midway through and sang Highway to Hell. With BJ playing backup guitar. He must have lost a bet, or something. But it was great.

It's not like I made up the phrase.

Perhaps I should have said it like this:

"The phrase might be stupid, but the stupidest thing you ever heard? You must not get out much."

No. Sorry. We can't be friends. But there are some nice parting gifts backstage.

Any comments about a roadie singing Highway to Hell at a Billy Joel concert?

No, but he did sing All For Leyna, which I had never heard him sing live before. He was in rare form. Excellent, and more energy than I've seen from him in years. 2 1/2 hours, no break, all over the stage...

Best show since I saw him New Years Eve in the early 80s.

Rastro,

Yes..."Highway to Hell" was a real highlight of the show we saw on 2/16, too. I had heard in advance that "Highway to Hell" has been on the setlist, but I figured it can't possibly be THAT song.

As for New York, New York, he played 1 stanza, then quit. But he did a decent Sinatra.
