I'm not sure when it opened, but i stopped in the new Goodwill store on Rt 22 yesterday. If you like stuff from Target, this is like a little jackpot. I think half of the merchandise i saw must've come from there. I'm assuming it's all of Target's clearance and damaged goods, because they had several of almost everything, including a package of balls that my mom had bought from Target's clearance shelf about a month ago and a damaged chair that's currently part of their current global bazaar line. They had lots of bedding/linens as well, all still in their original packaging/with tags. I asked the girl at the counter what was the scoop with the Target merchandise, and she said it was just donated from people who couldn't use it our didn't want to return it. Like i'm sure someone out there bought 13 size 2T blue striped shirts, and then realized she only needed one. So i have no idea if it will be a trend. They also had a good deal of housewares, used bridesmaid dresses, and racks of clothes sorted by color (which was weird, but interesting.) I'll definitely be making the Goodwill store one of my fun places to browse when i have time to kill on 22. Oh, and if you'll be starting your spring cleaning soon, they take donations from people other than Target as well. Everything but large furniture. |

I was very disoriented in there. All the new stuff seemed creepy for a Goodwill! (that didn't stop me from buying shoes and toys). Be careful tho, some of the Target stuff is still on sale at Target for less money! And one toy i got was broken, but you can return stuff within 5 days. I asked if they would be getting any "vintage" and they said they were trying to be "more upscale". i'll stop in again probably. |

papaya too funny! My sister swears by Goodwill. When I went to go visit, she was dying to take me there for a shopping spree. I know Target donates all there items to many places, I am sure Goodwill is one of them. Once everything goes 75% off and it isn't sold after two weeks, it is donated. |
