I've had lots of weird Postal karma lately for some reason.

First, a few weeks back, my sister called to tell me a sympathy card she had sent me when one of my dogs died was returned to her with the remark "undeliverable address" written on it.

Then this past Saturday, I was expecting a package because I had been tracking it online. When the mail came, the package didn't arrive. But I DID get everyone in Maplewood's copy of 'The Week' magazine. I double-checked the tracking number for my package to verify that it was indeed supposed to be here, pulled my copy of 'The Week' out of the bundle that was left, and went down to the P.O. I gave them the bundle of magazines and asked them to check on my package. "Not here. Could still be on the truck," was the verdict.

Cut to today. I received a package, but it wasn't the one I was expecting, because according to IT'S tracking number it wasn't supposed to even be in Maplewood yet. So then I thought maybe I had confused the two tracking numbers. Double checked AGAIN, and no, I had not confused the two. The tracking number on the one that arrived says only that it has been logged in for shipment. And today, the one that HASN'T arrived says there was an attempt to deliver on Saturday and it is now at the P.O. for pickup. Back I go to the P.O., and the guy runs around in the back and then tells me again "Nothing here."

I said to him a second time that according to the USPS website I'm supposed to pick it up there, and I ask him what to do. "All I can say is it's not here," I'm told.

So now I have no idea what to think, or what to do next. Thankfully, it's only about a ten dollar item, so worst case scenario I'm not gonna be out very much. It just seems really stragne that all these odd things have happened so recently.

Well, that's where it went this week. No telling where it's gone before.

I must say I was pleasantly surprised to see how many people in town get that magazine. Normally when I mention it to anyone, they've never heard of it.
