I work in the advertising/commercial production field and the tone of commercials outside the US never fails to surprise me! I guess I am so used to the very strict, puritanical standards we have in the US.
Part of my job includes obtaining "clearance" for content from the major networks. Last year I was asked to remove the word "God" from a testimonial spot. A woman, in casual conversation said "Oh my God" It wasn't close to being an epithet, but ABC made us edit it out.
