NO BGS

you DON'T like flowers on a cake.

Get it???

(PS - I think las is trying to say there won't be flowers on her cake -- much to her dismay. and ess was trying to make her feel better by assuring people don't like them anyway)

las, I just took a cake decorating class, but we didn't learn how to make those sugar flowers -- just the kind you pipe on a cake, so I can't help there -- even if you wanted the piping kind, I don't think you'd want my novice skills touching your cake -- people would be asking you all night what exploded on your cake. But, I seem to recall the teacher saying the sugar flowers don't taste very good, so I think you narrowly escaped a DISASTER! Whew! Thank goodness they didn't put those flowers on.

However, vodka has always been something I can help with.....

Hey Las, why isn't your party listed on the Main Event calendar for tonight?

It must have been an oversight, eh?

For clarification purposes:

Those little sugar flowers are the ones people don't eat. The frosting flowers, which Las wanted, and which LilLB learned to design, are dee-lish.

HOWEVER, this cake is going to rock, flowers, rocks, or weeds, because of what it signifies.

So there.

How many mojitos does it take to get LilLB to decorate a cake?

For the record, Pippi and ess both tried to talk me out of getting the cake covered in flowers. When the party venue had to change I ordered the extra flowers as a feel-good measure. So much for feel-good measures.

Also for the record: Jay, thanks for telling me there is a main event calendar on which I am not included.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, JTA!

FWIF, I hate icing, so less of the flowers is better!

I just walked in from my trip so we will be stylishly late. Although, by the time you read this, it will be tomorrow.

In case I don't get a chance to tell you, we had a great time and you looked fabu!

las,

I tried to send flowers to Here's to the Arts today. FTD wouldn't accept a delivery request since I didn't know the first and last name of the recipient.

It made me realize how silly I am. I really wanted to send you flowers, but I don't actually know you.

Happy Birthday anyway!

And a wonderful time was had by all. We left the hard-core party animals there a few moments ago. I have been threatened with worse than death if I reveal anything about The Incident.....

Let's just say that it involved & whipped cream with three paticipants and a handful of voyeurs.

You threw the best party ever. I hope you realize that. You do. But saying it in public is even better isn't it? I'm glad I got drunk to celebrate this occasion. So thank you las, party girl and totally cool girl.

Even Wendy's husband said he had a great time and he spoke with more people than he had in the past year.

A Happy, Happy, Happy Birthday. And absolute best wishes for the best years to come. I saw cool shoes and a waist. What more is needed?

I sang off key and said fu to monster who god knows why has a great wife.

I met irl the best people who look you straight in the eye and although you never met them before, you know you can count on and be connected with.

And even though my husband was hitting on Mem, I still think she is the coolest, funniest, sexiest woman I've known - bareback riding or not.

Now I really need to know about The Incident. I hope to hear more in the am.

Goodnite one and all. and I still hate dave.

Las, I sent you an e mail, but after reading this I am not TOTALLY bummed.....

I sensed this was the event of the week, month, season, and I guess I was right.
Maybe what we need to do is have gatherings at H2TA more often; I'm sure Art won't have a problem with that (hi, Art!).

Now, back to last night. I have many questions, but only one truly important one.

Mem - Are you really a 'hottie'?

(Just kidding, Las. I'm actually curious to know if you are hung over and in someone elses bed this morning.....)

What a party! I do know the BEST people. Thank you all for celebrating with me.

I'm sorry to say I did not get drunk, I went home alone, and my cat furballed on the bed while I was brushing my teeth this morning. Since Art G was having difficulty with the credit card machine I went back this morning to pay by check and he gave me a free coffee. And I got a ticket for parking 1:04 in a 1:00 spot.

I believe it was Wendy who thanked me for knowing a whole bunch of really great people and bringing them together. It's the most amazing feeling when your friends meet and like one another. Thank you.

By the way, that comment on the invite (no gifts, just bring me a straight man...) was not a joke. Yet, I ended up with 9 bottles of wine, a bottle of vodka and a non-anatomically precise blow-up man. And I slept alone last night. Geez - what's a woman gotta do...
