I left too early. I missed a lot of people.  (though even by 9:30 when I left, the density of humans in that room was about at the max that I could cope with, not being a person who does well at all in crowds ... though this means that lots of people wanted to wish las well, which is wonderful.)
I really wish I'd seen "the incident" that everybody keeps talking about. And Jamie's routine. And various people karaoke-ing. Etc. etc.
So I guess there really wasn't any cake to eat after all?

Red, lots of people were asking for you...we'll have to go for a run within the next couple of weeks to catch up.
CLK, a key component of the cocktail balancing trick ("CBT") is sufficient consumption of cocktails by the demonstrator (discuss with: Mem). For some reason, I had no desire for alcohol Friday night (I called my doctor, he said that would subside by Saturday, which it did, thankfully, and I was able to down four vodka-cranberries last night). That means I'll have to throw another party soon to demonstrate the CBT!
And for what it's worth, CLK, I found out about the incident today. |

Hey, it WAS an evening to remember and to honor Las. Las you are a splendid hostess. And for the record, the cake was good--I had my piece before someone else had theirs (ON the cake, that is).
Did anyone ever figure out what happened to the lights? I was in the WC (by myself) when they went out.
