Hot tip: there will be a lot of classical, jazz (and a smattering of pop) LPs out at the curb beginning late tomorrow afternoon on E. Cedar Lane. All in good condition.

From the collection of a pro, if you get my drift.

I hook on the side. In the daytime, I'm a professional LP collector.

What is a professional LP collector? I can see how you could make a living selling LPs, but collecting? And why are you throwing these out? Surely as a "pro" you wouldn't chuck anything that was worth having!

If you shlep them over to Kenilworth you can get a little money for them. Can't remember the name of the place but I got about $60 for 300 jazz/classical albums. I know, not really worth the effort...and very sad.

People pay to hear me give lectures about my album collection, OK? That means pro.

I have all the 61st St. Bluenotes, original Commodores, Ellington Brunswicks and Bergenfield Prestige vinyl I'll ever need. We pros are constantly assessing the quality level of our archives. The stuff I'm getting rid of is mostly duplicates or records I'll never play. I just hate to see Waste Management carelessly flinging these precious discs into a compactor. Doesn't seem right.

Reject MP3 files.

Agon,

Go out to the curb.

Retrieve vinyl.

PL me to come and pick up,

I work, can't beat the garbage guys to the curbside.

I have an ipod and by burning the CDs, I have more space for records!

J.B.

Don't reject music in any form.

JB I tried the PL thing. Agon didn't bite.
wish he/she had responded cause I would have shown up. But guess the onus was on me to go over anyway. Shame on me. But I bet Agon got lot's of PL's.
