Do you look in order? Or click on one first cause it's most interesting? Which is the most pospular? (And, of course, whick ones do you avoid?) I tend to look in order, with an occasional pick at anything I've recently posted on to see if there has been a response. I never look at Finance, (that's Mr. LL's pervue). Dave, is there any way to see which category is clicked on most? |

I too tend to look in order. Then I usually go directly to Please Help or the Soap Box. |

I look at "Please Help" first. I learn a lot, and I like to help. You can set your profile up so that you get messages posted on threads where you have posted. This is handy, but it also feeds the addiction very well. You can also subscribe to sections by email and even threads by email. I get all posts in the Technology section emailed to me.

I usually look at the technology section first, checking if I can help. Then vc, soapbox, entertainment, whatever floats my boat. |

I use the new messages search to find posts since the last time I was on MOL. Then I mostly look at them in the order they appear, skipping over those topics that don't interest me (or interest me less if there are a lot.) For quite awhile this didn't work so well if I waited more than a few hours between searches, but something was changed recently (new search engine? more memory?) and the searching is much improved. If I were simply looking through topics, I'd probably look at Education first, followed by Blogs, followed by everything else. Since the rearrangement of the topics, this is basically the order they appear anyway. |

I subscribe to the South Orange section, the Technology section, and the All Politics section. I read SO first, then Technology, the soapbox, then all politics. Then if I can't find anything else to feed the addiction with, I go to virtual cafe, home fixit and please help. It's very sad when it's late at night, and no one else is posting, so I have to go to sleep because there is nothing new to read. |

being the party animal and incurable rescuer that I am, Virtual Cafe and Please Help are my staples. Then Soapboxes, to see what's got under your skins since the last time I checked. If something new turns up as flagged in Recipes, I'm there quick-smart to check it out. Then it depends on if my favourite posters have sent something in or if I'm bored... |

These days, I usually begin by checking my parade blog to see if anyone has responded to requests for participants, assistance, etc. but so far nobody has . Next I check threads to which I have posted recently to see if there are any responses to my posts that may require further response on my part. Finally, time permitting, I will check whatever other sections catch my fancy at the time. Recently I have been checking the new education section for information on Tuesday's primary though I hardly ever check it the rest of the year. I also tend to avoid the all politics section unless there is a thread there on a topic I really want to explore. |
