This from the cinematographer of all of my films...

Panasonic HVX-200

JVC GY-HD100

Sony Z1-U

Canon XL-H1



Many tests have basically said that they’re all comparable, and should be chosen based on features rather than quality. On that basis, I would immediately discard the Sony as it does not have a progressive mode. The Canon doesn’t either, though it’s fake progressive may not be as bad.



For feature filmmaking, based on what I know, I would choose the Panasonic first, then the JVC. I particularly like the Panasonic for a number of reasons including its variable frame rate capabilities and color space. But I would do lots and lots of research first before deciding on a format and camera.
