Hey - my husband didn't mention until after we were married that his great uncle invented Beano!
He also invented Lactaid. He is obsessed with flatulence I suppose.

My husband's family owned a huge dairy business near Atlantic City and this great uncle must have had lactose intolerance or something. He became a food scientist and the rest is history.

I personally think he should have worked in advertising because he thought up some clever names for everything.
My favorite was for a food additive for pets....it is called Curtail!

Will farts become a thing of the past (gas)? Will my grandchildren ask me, "Grandpa, what did a fart sound like?"

"Grandpa, what did a fart smell like?"

"Well, come and sit on grandpa's lap..."
