This is another topic that I've been concerned about. What's really behind Libarylady's endless desire to push Matzoh Charlotte on an unsuspecting public? Is it really an innocent attempt at giving yeast-deprived Jews gastric problems during a dreary, mind-numbing holiday (2 days of fresh food, 6 days of turkey and pot roast leftovers)? Or is it, as I have suspected for three years now, really Plan 10 from Outer Space? Is the recipe for Matzoh Charlotte what we see scibbled on the paper plate that simulated a spaceship in Ed Wood's brilliant documentary? Was Matzoh Charlotte the leavening agent that was to be used to make the dead rise and take over our planet? The symbolism is too great to ignore. It's brilliant in fact. Where is the last place anyone would look for a leavening agent during Passover? In the matzoh of course. I think Librarylady has some 'splainin' to do. Anon, your thoughts please. |

Gotta go and re-watch Plan 9 and see if if there is truly a related motif to these topics My hubby came up with a novel idea that supermarket trolleys and wire coathangers are in fact related, and further, are related to those gigantic electricity-conveying 'towers' that straddle outback/rural roads. His version of Plan 10 is that these towers are carrying secret coded messages to the supermarket trolleys. the trolleys then convey the messages to wire coathangers lurking in people's closets - that's why you'll often find upturned trolleys on isolated streets far from the nearest supermarket. It would be even scarier if Matza Charlotte is implicated in this dastardly plan!! |

HaHa..very funny. I happen to own a copy of Plan 9 (one of the finest sci-fi epics ever) and there is NO CORRELATION. Plan 10, I dunno. However, I have now framed my last and final attempt at Matzoh Charlotte and it will be soon hanging in the Sbenois Engineering and Art Museum post haste! |

Dearest Librarylady, Your sweet innocent act is over sister. We're onto your game now. Your plan will not work and every denial you issue going forward will only dig a deeper hole for you. We thumb our noses at your silly Plan #10 just like we laughed at Plan Nine. |

Well, I must fess up. I am the one who was looking for the Matzoh Charlotte recipe [now that my Nana is no longer around to make it and my mother doesn't have a copy of the recipe. I just know that my grandmother has the recipe, but did she make it for her seder? Of course not. I got horrible, cardboard like Pesach cake instead. Bleeeeeeeeech. Apparently, no one will ever be able to duplicate my Nana's Matzoh Charlotte (which was amazingly delicious, better even than my beloved Manischewitz fruit jells.)] It is my fault that LL unleashed her version on MOL. But, I'm sure it was better than the dreaded, evil, vile universal muffins (which I'm sure would warrant a visit from DYFS if served to children.) |

Could it be because yumsters rise when they are cooked thereby giving the appearance of being tref for the holiday? |

Ah, my sweet Bella, so good to see you post again and take "some" responsibilty for the MC disaster. They say in my business there are no stupid questions. But asking on MOL for a Matzoh Charlotte recipe? That just proves that the Libary's saying is just plain wrong!!! I am tired of having the burden solely on my head. It's good of you to ,finally, come on board again and take your lumps. I Will Charlotte Matzoh No More. |
