Saturday, while walking my dog, jeffl called out my name, having figured out who I was. We had a very pleasant chat. We live so close, but it had taken us years to meet. I had the pleasure of meeting his wife and daughter, too. Sunday, I helped movingsoon assemble his new exercise bike. I also met his lovely family. Whom have you met from MOL recently?

Our leader Dave, and a good portion of the "M" family at the What Exit? event last week... Molers are everywhere! |

I didn't list you because I was thinking about first time meetings. But you bet I had a truly wonderful time. Sometimes, being with non-family releases more steam than family, since there's not as much "pressure."

Just today: I spotted Greenetree's spouse on the train this afternoon. She was sitting directly in front of me but she didn't respond when I said hello. I saw Just the Aunt a few minutes ago in front of my house. We had a very brief chat. I hope to meet a number of MOLers for the first time at the HTTA face to face at 7 PM this evening. |

I saw Monster, but didn't meet him. And for that I'm eternallly regretful. But I'm always "fishing" when I meet people. "Yeah that's sooo true... anyway, do you ever go to the Maplewood On-line website?" "What?" "Nevermind." Then in my head, "loser." OR: "Oh my that's so interesting... anyway do you ever go to that website, I think it's called Maplewood Website, or something?" "YEAH! I went there once and we bought our couch." "Oh cool." Then in my head, "loser." Then, in Bunny's a guy is sitting at the bar with a laptop, there's a computer with MOL on it. I posted that I was leaving Bunny's and left. Then in my head... J.B.

It was my laptop, and it could've been Dave, Monster, or Mayor McCheese. You'll never know. (Edited to add: I saw a guy typing at the bar computer and he didn't know Monster, Dave, Mayor McCheese, or me. I said in my head, "What a sorry guy.")

Bets, "What a sorry guy?" that's worse than "loser." So you saw me? Also last night when I was paranoidly thinking I was on the 'Truman Show" and everyone was Dave, you asked if you had a vote about banning me. So, what's your vote? How about Bunny's tomorrow at 4? Is there free pizza? J.B. |

I don't think you did anything ban-worthy, obviously. I think the vote would have been unanimous if it had been tallied. I am a working girl, so 4 is a bit too early for my ilk. If I didn't have a 3-fricking-hour-long meeting tomorrow morning I might try to sneak out early. However: One never knows, does one? And Bunny's is not a bad place for a 2 1/2 year old. Children are very welcome there, and I for one love watching the toddlers bopping to music or playing with the jukebox and video game buttons. And yes, the pizza is delicious and free during Happy Hour, 4-5 p.m.

No, I believed you were. Did you really know it was us when you were there? If so, we were hoodwinked, and I may have to change my vote. |

Bets, I was the "sorry guy" at the computer. I was trying to look like a Seton Hall student. Hoodwinked? That's ALWAYS my goal. See you tomorrow? J.B. |

I really don't think "sorry guy" is worse than "loser." The former implies a temporary condition while the latter is kind of permanent, no? I would love to join you all tomorrow at 4, but cannot commit as it's a busy time of year at work. If not, Monster is quite harmless and I think you'll like him, and if his better half can accompany him you'll be in for a real treat. Or Monster daughter and son. And, of course, you always have Bunny. No child can resist her kindness. |

Late yesterday afternoon my husband and I were driving down a local Maplewood Street when the driver of the car going in the opposite direction asked us to pull over. Then the vehicle in front of us pulled to a stop, effectively boxing us in. The drivers of both vehicles were MOLers who just wanted to talk! |

I think I just overheard some MOL'ers at Centanni tonight around 9:00PM. I stopped by for a quick desert with my daughter and heard someone at the next table mention "Extralarge Brain"! I would have introduced myself but I had my daughter with me and I didn't know if I would ever leave once we got talking.... |

Justmelaura - Yes!! It was an unusual night for our family of five. I had to attend my 12 year old's choral night alone and we decided to have a very rare mother/dughter desert moment afterwards. We said hello to John Zweig playing the guitar (his son is a year younger than my daughter)on our way out. I only got a glimpse of your table since I had my back to you. Who were the other MOLers? I wish I had said hello! K |

Thanks for coming out, Mr. T. Also had the pleasure of MONSTER and Tom R later in the day. MEM was supposed to come out, but I don't think I'm HOT anymore, so she dropped me like a cold potato....... Thanks for the great attendance, we got rid of 95% of our 'crap', so mission accomplished. I feel so.....SUBURBAN! |

I met Pippi a couple of weeks ago - I loaned her some audiobooks, and she loaned me some DVDs. Well really she loaned my kid the DVDs after they discovered a mutual interest in old movies. And I have to say thanks VERY much as she introduced us to "Auntie Mame" with Rosalind Russell, which we'd never seen before. Hooray for Pippi!
