He made it. Bought me more than one drink. (Hic.) Also met Bets and Pizzaz. No one seemed to mind my intense need to maintain my anonymity.

Anonymity? It's gone now. Pizzaz will tell the world who you are! He doesn't play be the rules. He doesn't care about anything. He told everyone who I was only because I asked him not to. He is a man without a heart and with a soul filled with more hatred than the devil himself. Once I saw him drop a baby on the ground while he was kicking a puppy. And did I mention the soul thing? Mayor McCheese would never tell a lie. |

Your secret is safe with me, JB. And Monster makes a mean stromboli (and I mean really mean - these hot peppers are going to hurt tomorrow!) Good to meet you today, and don't believe anything the mayor tells you. He's sleep deprived. |

Good to meet you too, Bets. How could I believe anything said by someone named "McCheese?" Even if he IS a mayor. J.B. |

Thanks, I will. The feeling is mutual. J.B. jr. really seemed to take to you. Could it have something to do with Elmo, Monster? Perhaps your high pitched voice or your googlie eyes? J.B. |

I think JB jr. took to Monster's removable feet. And to just about anything else that caught his attention. He's really articulate for his age and it's obvious that you and Mrs. JB are great parents. Wait 'til you meet Mrs. Monster and the juniors. Another remarkable family. That's one reason I still love South Orange; it does somehow attract many genuine people (okay, Maplewood too ). Dave & McCheese, you missed out (and wasn't it someone else on Sunday who said we should "meet back here Tuesday at 4!"?). |

Bets, thanks for the "great parents" comment. I don't know what we're doing to make him so articulate. I actually think he gets a lot of it from daycare. Of course, Mrs. J.B. IS an English teacher, so who knows what she's doing when I'm not around: Say it, "The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain." "Airplane!" "NO! Repeat after me, the RAIN in SPAIN falls MAINLY on the PLAIN." "You funny mommy." "I think you mean, 'you're funny mommy'. God, you're incorrigible!" "No mommy, YOU'RE incorrigible."

Whoa. My Mom taught English for awhile just after she married my Dad (and HE taught English while in the Army). That sounds like talk around our house when I was growing up (and it wasn't just my parents - my older brothers and sisters used to bust my chops, too). Some of the most gratifying moments I had as an adult were: a) correcting my mother's grammar (very rare); or b) proving I was right about a word definition/spelling (somewhat less rare). Sound familiar?

So while we were there, Dave was not, even though we were there for quite a while, Dave did not show up, though it was Dave who on Sunday suggested that we all meet on Tuesday, and he was most emphatic about it. But alas, we did not see Dave.... |

I also learned many swear words unintentionally. I it all up! It's supposed to be "a while." I do know the syntax. But you just played a solid for my Mom. Thanks, Dave!

That was not meant to be, "Dave how could you" -- know that? It was meant to be, "Dave how could you" -- rain on Bets' parade? But, I guess it was a solid so, whatever. J.B. |

"don't believe anything the mayor tells you. He's sleep deprived." Sleep is for women and dummies. Maybe there will be time for some tomorrow night. I have to get back to work. Monster, remember when I asked you if you wanted to write a webpage for me? The offer still stands. In exchange for your work I will give you one universal remote control, a snickers bar, and a bic pen (your choice, blue or black; but not red). How does that sound?

I am used to about 8 to 9 hours of sleep. Sunday night I got under 7, last night I slept for 2 hours, I'll be lucky to get that much tonight. If MOL didn't exist I could have taken a 1 minute nap instead of posting this. Damn you Dave and Jamie! |

See? That's what I'm saying. This is definitely the opinion of a heavily sleep-deprived man: Quote:Sleep is for women and dummies
It's so obvious that men are jealous of women. We can go without sleep for weeks and still function. Men? Phhhtttt. |
