...tie. Yes Alleygator made a strong impression earlier tonight with a new fashion statement he is trying out, and I must say that for my first time meeting Alley, that it did make an impression. I was lucky enough to have my phone with me at the time, so below you will find an image of Alleygators tie shortly after justmelaura's ferret pooped on it. Alley, here's to you, it was very nice meeting you and your lovely wife, and may we meet again soon, without the tie.

I must say, Monster, you may have Tom Reingold on the run for the "Prince of MOL" position. Two F2F in one day/night. Still drinkin'? J.B. |

I am indeed, especially at 8 a.m. while procrastinating about getting to work on time. Who needs to get to work on time? Sheesh. |

It was great meeting you Monster and Justmelaura. I am a HUGE ferret lover but TS refuses to even consider letting us have one. So you can only imagine my surprise when I was picking up plants at Justmelaura's home when she in passing mentions the ferret that they found running through the dirty streets of Maplewood -- I remembered her post. Imagine my surprise and delight, I get free plants AND play with a ferret. At first I was super excited to pet the cute little squirmy bundle of joy. But very quickly I felt bad because the poor thing was shaking like a leaf and squirming to get out of my hands. Justmelaura insisted that the ferret always squirms because it's cold but I really suspected it was scared of me and I was having a hard time keeping the dear thing in one place because it's a little weasel and it was weaseling it's way right out of my hands. So I handed the ferret back to Justmelaura's son and that was when everyone pointed to the poopy that was on the ground. I sighed, and said, "Wow, it's a good thing I didn't get any on me." to which everyone else sort of panned up their heads from the ground to my torso and there was silence. Until someone uttered, "ummmm... I think it pooped on your tie actually". Also, I was mystified how the world works on the way home. Here I was with a ferret poop wrapped up in a tissue in one hand. And a big Fosters Bitter oil can in the other. I've met very few people in town, and even fewer MOL personalities, but what was the chance that I was going to be at JustmeLaura's home at the same moment that Monster was going to swing by with his very cute wee little ones for a social call? And get this, he JUST HAPPENED TO be holding onto not one, not two, but three Fosters. It was like the stars had all aligned and there was perfection in the universe. Because for some strange reason just that day, I had won the Monster sponsored MOL name that picture contest and was owed, yes you guessed it, one Fosters. And here was Monster randomly placed at the same location as me, with an extra Fosters in his hand. I'm telling you the world works in mysterious ways. That's Australian for luck, if you ask me. Man that beer was good with our Frank's pizza with onions and roasted red peppers. I slept like a baby that night. Once again thanks Monster and Justmelaura, I couldn't have asked for a more perfect introduction. |

Hey Dave, You better move this thread to Food and Dining or Soapbox. Alley is talking way too much talk about drink and food and how the world works in mysterious ways for this post to stay in Virtual. (But it's still good to hear Monster is not a welcher.) |

Ack my eyes, my eyes. Make it stop, make it stop. When I saw Monster in front of me waving a Fosters, I knew it was truly kismet. It really felt like it was meant to be. I didn't think I should pass up an opportunity for free beer like that. And I'm glad I didn't. I also had never had a Fosters Bitter. That was one mighty fine beer. And big enough to give me a pleasant buzz. Once again, thank you Monster. I owe you one. |
