A couple of years ago we went on vacation and left the youngest (21, then) at home. She gets a jones for margarittas with her girlfriend and raids roof's hootch cabinet. There were (a) at least 8 bottles of some cheap tequila, (b)some Cuervo and (c) my coveted unopened bottle of Rojo Gusano Mezcal that you can no longer find around here. It's so smooth and has the agave worm in it. Alison chooses????? That's right "C", the whole bottle and threw the empty in the recycle for me to find like it was a trophy. Clipped one of the speakers on the stereo to boot! Ain't kids great!!

I think Campbell29 did not end up at Toro last night. It was great seeing her and her family at Bunny's.

Upondaroof, I understand your frustration, but didn't you do something like that when you were her age? Or were you the one, the only, perfect child?

I'm sorry, but that is non-responsive. Please answer the question.

Did you ever raid your parents' hootch?

I'm just saying!

I'm not trying to be a jerk, just curious. I was born to South Orange, and I love it.

And I have 7 older sisters.

"I'm sorry, but that is non-responsive. Please answer the question."

When I was her age, I was legal to buy my own, so the answer is no. Prior to that also no, but I was known to sneak a Lucky or three outta the old man's pack!
The post was meant to be an anecdote, timely for Cinco de Mayo, nothing more.

I was also born and raised in the Oranges and still love the area, too, but the property taxes are just too much!

7 older sisters!! You wouldn't be Irish Catholic by any chance!
