Sure, they're only microbes, but I'm surprised this story hasn't gotten more attention. Could be one of the biggest events in the history of biology...

CNN is the worst at this type of news. They don't seem to have people on staff who understand science and so run with any science news until someone who knows about it bothers to call them.
The source of this story is also running news items about tinfoil hats and "is it possible to blow up Mars?" (answer: no) |
