Author Message   papayagirl Citizen Username: Papayagirl Post Number: 561 Registered: 6-2002 Posted on Friday, June 9, 2006 - 12:13 am:        I don't go by the intersection of Vauxhall and Stuyvesant regularly, but I passed by today, and noticed there's a sign in the location of the former Stop & Shop (which is now a giant hole) saying Coming Soon: Super Stop & Shop! After Wegmans, this would probably be my #2 pick for a new grocery store nearby. The one in Watchung is just too far to realistically get to very often. Does anyone happen to know when it's supposed to open? They had a post card with rendering of what was planned. It was really cool as I remember...with people movers like in Disney and covered parking so you don't have to load the car in the rain and snow.
