Goodness Gracious,
Had a wonderful PreSeason Opener of the TikiBar.
Mem, Apm, Monster (a drive by) and a few other lurkers stopped by. We talked about doing a fundraiser for my daughter and 4other local teens that want to go to Mexico this summer to build schools,etc. Mem volunteered her backyard, I will supply the food and bar ...

and would love to support youth going to Mexico to build...one of the BGS offshoots did that in January and raised money and went on a Tiajuana build...she said it was an experience of a lifetime...Will be happy to help others who want to do the same..

BGS, they are going to Tiajuana. I wonder if it is the same organization? I'm working on the details for a fundraiser and will post the info soon.

The TBDL could actually rotate venues; we don't have a Tiki Bar, but are set up for back yard imbibement. Hmmm. Wheels are spinning. |

Justme- Oldest BGS did Y-WAM. Youth With a Mission...It was brought to us thru the widow of Doug Cherry who died 9/11/01.
Both BGS'are doing Christian Outreach Project in July in Northwest New Jersey where they make home repairs for people who cannot afford to have things fixed or painted. They have built ramps for wheelchairs at COP and also removed existing roofs and replaced same roofs...too bad they have day jobs, they could just volunteer forever!!! :-)
If you want your youth to speak to my youth about the Tiajuana experience PL me and we can get them in touch with each other....

OK, pending Mem approval the date will be either July 14 or 15. I am thinking that a Saturday Night will be best. Working on the menu, definitely a Mexican/Cajun theme and Garden Grown Mojitos, better wines and beers. I will have the 6 kids that we are raising funds for working the party, so you can meet them. I have to say, they are the best. |

Hoping to post the menu this evening. I would like to limit this to 50 people to keep the evening intimate and not to overburden the host. I am even thinking about bringing in a dance floor and some latin dancers. |
