The smell of spring/summer is making me euphoric. Not to mention the birds and critters. My garden is Popping and I don't know what to do with it. The birds and wildlife are breathtaking. Thankyou Maplehood etal for allowing me so much wildlife graciousness. lauragrace |

Goodness, it is 1:15ishAM and I am sitting outside still listening to the birds and watching the skyline. Also, it smells so wonderful. Please don't take this away from me. |

What skyline? How do you stay up so late, getting intoxicated on Wednesday night, and then get up and function all day, every day, for the rest of the week? Can you teach me the trick? Or do I just have to wait until the kids are older? |

I know what ''popping'' is! Popping happens whenever we have a couple of hot, sunny days in a row, and some rain gets added into the mix during the nights or late afternoon... the next morning...voila`! flower buds that were miniscule-- barely visible the day before-- just POP open, seemingly overnight! They reveal their lovely colors and fragrances, and if the morning is moist and cool, like today's is... oh, the scented air is heavenly. It's a moment of sweetness and pure delight! Enjoy it for all its worth, justmelaura! Jersey girl

BTW, speaking of "popping," my Weigela's are already sprouting new growth! Just like weeds, just like you said Laura. |
