I looked at our daughter this morning and can't believe that 6 years ago she came into the world. She is kind and loving, healthy and happy. I hope that she always stays that way. It's bringing tears to my eyes even typing this. I have typed and deleted, re-typed and edited, because there really are no words to describe how special and loved she is. HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY SOP DAUGHTER NO.1!!!!!

Happy Birthday to her and to you--it really is much more fun to celebrate a child's birthday than your own. And from what I hear, curry is becoming the predominant food in London these days, so she is au courant with British tastes. Enjoy your special day together and cherish her with all your heart. |

SOparents: Happy birthday to your six year old daughter and many more. Today is my son's birthday too. He is a bit older having just turned 27! I can still remember the day he was born. Have a great day celebrating. |

Dear SOPette, You are blessed with a mummy who is witty and wise and kind. Here is a much loved poem that is really for her, but I hope you enjoy it too. Happy Birthday! When I was One, I had just begun. When I was Two, I was nearly new. When I was Three, I was hardly Me. When I was Four, I was not much more. When I was Five, I was just alive. But now I am Six, I'm as clever as clever. So I think I'll be six now for ever and ever. A.A.Milne |

Soparents: When I just read that you were going to bunnies for dinner tonight (posted in another thread), I realized that the little girl who had "Happy Birthday" sung to her in the adjacent table to ours tonight at Bunnies, was your daughter. And that was you there too! I should have guessed, seeing how apparently close in age our daughters were, and overhearing your accents... Well, I still haven't "met" you, but I have a visual of your happy family. (we were the ones in the booth all the way at the end--the one you (mom) were facing). Cheers!

SOP, it was wonderful to meet you and your beautiful girls tonight at Bunnys. Hoping they had a wonderful time and that they appreciate what an energetic Mum they have (but that comes much later in life) Calliope, I have read that poem to all of my 3 offspring"s classes back in the day when they actually liked to have me around. I have had that one in my memory since I was 6!
