Well, I started to make a list of all the people who are invited, all the guys too, and it was like a million names. I also worried that if I posted it, I would leave someone out because I take it for granted that they know they are invited.
Like:
red, Lilb, JTA, bets, Scully, VIG, Pip, Las, Lydia, Algebra, JML, SoParents, crazyg, Marie, Mtierney, Cynical, LL, Lizziecat, Buzzsaw, Case, monster, Dave, Lazydog, Matt Foley, Mayor, Buzz, Jay is so HOT, Oldstone, sbenois (he'll have to click his heels together), strawberry (in FLA  ), Duncan, Dr. A Curry  , Jamie (on a NatGeo expedition), AJC, sheesh it could go on and on. Just PL me if interested, you know who you are.
The hitch is that the deck is bound to be soaking wet - should I have the Fest indoors or cancel for nicer weather?
Let's vote?

I always like nice weather. And since Glock doesn't actually own a gun that he would be bringing to an event with alcohol that he wouldn't be drinking anyway, sure. Why not.
It's bright and sunny here, which means that we'll probably have that tomorrow. I hope it doesn't screw up my flight home. |

Tonight: Periods of rain and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Low around 68. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Chance of gettin' doooooown at mem's 100%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Mem, I think it depends on how much you feel like cleaning up after a party on Sunday...........

The weather report doesn't seem to have a shred of hope to it. I'd say keep it a deck party and hold out for sunnier skys.

AW GEE, thanks.
I appreciate the invitation to anything called "Boozefest." I have been licking my chops at all of the festivities being posted about.
But, I regret, I must decline for tonight. I actually do have something in the city. (Old friend moving to Arizona Going away party.) I accepted an invitation for him to make reservations, etc. etc.
Too bad. I assume I will read all about it in the morning, and hope to be on the list for the next Boozefest, or Tiki Party, or fire at Monsters, and General hanging out at Bunny's.
Have fun, and drink one for me.

I missed it - I TRULY wanted to go but 28 kids here for daughter No.1's B/D which had to be held inside thanks to the grotty weather just about finished me off...

Lets just put it this way dear Lauralet. God was at Mems party and taught us all our individual lessons. Your lesson was: Not all doors are automatically open for you. Just because you want to go somewhere doesn't mean life is that easy and just clears a path for you. You have to work on it and have faith. PLUS if you see blue ducttape on a deck it means stop!!!
I learned that despite all good intention you can't color a white dog pink. I also learned that mem and I should be carnigans (Veegans who it meat) and that if you need a little lift you can always count on JML.
