Just two good old boys Never meanin' no harm Beats all you never saw Been in trouble with the law Since the day they was born Straightnin' the curves Flattenin' the hills Someday the mountain might get 'em But the law never will Makin' their way The only way they know how That's just a little bit more Than the law will allow Just two good ol' boys Wouldn't change if they could Fightin' the system like Two modern-day Robin Hoods

Faster than a speeding bullet. More powerful than a locomotive. Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound --- "Look, up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane, it's Superman!" "Yes, it's Superman, strange visitor from another planet, with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men! Superman, who can change the course of mighty rivers, bend steel with his bare hands, and who, disguised as Clark Kent, mild-mannered reporter for a great metropolitan newspaper, fights a never-ending battle for truth, justice and the American way!" |

A horse is a horse, of course, of course, And no one can talk to a horse of course That is, of course, unless the horse is the famous Mister Ed. Go right to the source and ask the horse He’ll give you the answer that you’ll endorse. He’s always on a steady course. Talk to Mister Ed. People yakkity yak a streak and waste your time of day But Mr. Ed will never speak unless he has something to say A horse is a horse, of course, of course, And this one’ll talk ‘til his voice is hoarse. You never heard of a talking horse? Well listen to this: "I'm Mister Ed." |

The following was spoken, not sung.. its about 25+ years old. Bagpuss was voted the favourite childrens show of all time in the UK... I have the entire series on DVD, it reminds me of how gentle things were when I was younger.... here goes.... Bagpuss. Once upon a time Not so long ago There was a little girl and her name was Emily And she had a shop There it is It was rather an unusual shop because it didn't sell anything You see, everything in that shop window was a thing that somebody had once lost And Emily had found And brought home to Bagpuss Emily's cat Bagpuss The most Important The most Beautiful The most Magical Saggy old cloth cat in the whole wide world Well now, one day Emily found a thing And she brought it back to the shop And put it down in front of Bagpuss Who was in the shop window fast asleep as usual But then Emily said some magic words Bagpuss, dear Bagpuss Old fat furry cat-puss Wake up and look at this thing that I bring Wake up, be bright Be golden and light Bagpuss, Oh hear what I sing And Bagpuss was wide awake And when Bagpuss wakes up all his friends wake up too The mice on the mouse-organ woke up and stretched Madeleine, the rag doll Gabriel, the toad And last of all, Professor Yaffle, who was a very distinguished old woodpecker He climbed down off his bookend and went to see what it was that Emily had brought Bagpuss gave a big yawn, and settled down to sleep And of course when Bagpuss goes to sleep, all his friends go to sleep too The mice were ornaments on the mouse-organ Gabriel and Madeleine were just dolls And Professor Yaffle was a carved wooden bookend in the shape of a woodpecker Even Bagpuss himself once he was asleep was just an old, saggy cloth cat Baggy, and a bit loose at the seams But Emily loved him and I loved him too...

http://www.retrojunk.com/details_theme/496/ H.R. Pufnstuf who's your friend when things get rough H.R. Pufnstuf can't do a little because you can't do enough Once upon a summertime just a dream from yesterday A boy and his magic golden flute heard a boat from off the bay Come and play with me Jimmy Come and play with me And I will take you on a trip far across the sea But the boat belonged to a kooky old Witch Who had in mind the flute to snitch From her Vroom Broom in the sky She watched her plans materialize She waved her wand and the beautiful boat was gone The skies grew dark, the sea grew rough And the boat sailed on and on and on and on and on and on But Pufnstuf was watching too and knew exactly what to do He saw the Witch's boat attack and as the boy was fighting back He called his Rescue Racer Crew as often they'd rehearsed And off to save the boy they flew But who would get there first? But now the boy had washed ashore Puff arrived to save the day Which made the Witch so mad and sore she shook her fist and screamed away H.R. Pufnstuf who's your friend when things get rough H.R. This one's great to sing in the shower (or coming up the 7th Ave escalator at Penn Station): Used to be sad, used to be shy Funniest thing, the saddest part is I never knew why... Kickin' myself for nothin' was my favorite sport I had to get out and start enjoyin' 'cause life's too short There's a new girl in town, 'cause I'm feelin good. Get a smile, get a song, for the neighborhood there's a new girl in town on her own two feet and this girl's here to say with some luck and love life's gonna be so sweeeeeeeeeet!

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip. That started from this tropic port, aboard this tiny ship. The mate was a mighty sailin' man, the skipper brave and sure. Five passengers set sail that day, for a three hour tour, a three hour tour……… The weather started getting rough, the tiny ship was tossed. If not for the courage of the fearless crew, the Minnow would be lost; the Minnow would be lost. The ship took ground on the shore of this uncharted desert isle, with Gilligan, the Skipper too, the Millionaire, and his Wife, the Movie Star, the Professor and Mary Ann, here on Gilligan's Isle. So this is the tale of our castaways, they're here for a long, long time. They'll have to make the best of things, it's an uphill climb. The first mate and his skipper too, will do their very best, to make the others comfortable, in the tropic island nest. No phones, no lights, no motor cars, not a single luxury. Like Robinson Crusoe, it's primitive as can be. So join us here each week my friend, you're sure to get a smile. From seven stranded Castaways, Here on Gilligan's Isle.

Maginc Garden became Magic Circle here in Australia, when our Network Ten first began transmission with one station in Melbourne. It wasn't bad, but no-one ever seems to remember it when I play this game with my friends. We have a version of Play School that ran for nigh on 35 years or 40 years, I beleieve..I think we believe we created it!! None of you would have heard of Mr Squiggle and Miss Pat, would you? <sigh> If you're gonna talk Perry Mason (all the different series), then of you have to bring in his 'son' - with the curly blond hair and the 'red PGs' - accidental hero? something hero, anyway: didn't someone start to 'sing' the song 'believe it or not...'??? and then there's that incredible pure voice, singing in Latin, at the start of Silent Witness... ahh yes - it's weekend again....!

This was a long time ago and I think they only sang it once (thankfully) We chased lady luck till we finally struck - Bonanza With a gun and a rope and a hatful of hope We planted our family tree We got ahold of a potful of gold - Bonanza With a horse and a saddle and a rig full of cattle How rich can a fella be? On this land we put our brand Cartwright is the name Fortune smiled the day we filed The Ponderosa claim Here in the west we're livin' in the best - Bonanza If anyone fights any one of us He's gonna fight with me Hoss and Joe and Adam know Every rock and pine No one works, fights, or eats Like those boys of mine Here we stand in the middle of a grand - Bonanza With a gun and a rope and a hatful of hope We planted our family tree We got ahold of a potful of gold - Bonanza With a houseful of friends where the rainbow ends How rich can a fella be? On this land we put our brand Cartwright is the name Fortune smiled the day we filed The Ponderosa claim Here in the west we're livin' in the best - Bonanza With the friendliest, fightenist, lovingest band That ever set foot in the promised land And we're happier than them all That's why we call it - Bonanza - - Bonanza - - Bonanza -

I bet we've been together- for a million years-, And I'll bet we'll be together for a million more-. But it's like I started dreaming Of the night we kissed. And I can't remember what I ever did before. What did we do baby-, Without us? What did we do baby-, Without us? And there ain't no nothing We can't love each other through. What did we do baby-, Without us? Sha la la la-. |
