Just got back from SF, and let me tell you, it is HOT here in NJ! I LOVE it!
OK, so what is the current take on my latest visit to the west coast? It is NOT as HOT as NJ!
Silicone Valley: Dry heat, with lots of slow, slow, slow, mellow drivers. All on their cell phones of course and all driving in the wrong lanes, plotting their horoscopes, i.e., clueless. Here's mem, Garden State Parkway expert, driving from Santa Clara to Monterey for dinner, with three west coast victims with me in my slick Pontiac rentabussinesscrapmobile with Corinthian leather seats:
Mem: "Beep Beep Beep, get the &%$$#* out of the fast lane ya %$&$# morons and get off your %$^*&^$$ cell phones, ya &^%&^* meworld loonies! I got &*&^^%*& places to go!"
West Coast Colleagues: "Um mem, you're not supposed to beep here, and what language! We're not in NY. We'll get there when we get there. Mellow out, dude. Enjoy the vibes."
Mem: "Excuse me, what the ^%$#& is this horn for, decoration? How the $^%$ else are these &%$#& suppposed to wake up? What the %^%$&? You guys are %$#^%$#! I don't have &^%%& all night!"
West Coast Colleagues: "Mem, you are so HOT!"

Sheesh, my grandma is faster than even the elevators there. There I was, always fidgeting at the elevators after ^%$#@ minutes of waiting for the thing to $E%%$# decide when the vibes were right to land where it was %$^#& needed, and one day this %&^$#@ looked at me and said, "ohhh. NYC?"
Mem says, "You ^*&%$ guru assed lag behind, how dare you ^%&^*& question me you %&^^% you *&&^%$#, mind your own ^*&^%% business, you &^%$#^# slow assed ^%#@*&^%. I'm from NJ!"
$&%$## says, "You are HOT!"

Ah, so that's why we had all this crappy weather. Mem, do me a favor? Next time you are leaving our coast could you e mail me personally? That way I can prepare for the storm.
