Has anyone tried the Avistar lot or the BeePark lot near EWR? I need a recommendation for inexpensive airport parking for 4 days. The airport economy lots advertise an approximate travel time/wait of 20 minutes, and I was wondering if we could do better. |

Never tried Avistar or Beepark. The airport economy lots are a total NIGHTMARE which I would recommend avoiding at all costs. |

Given a four day trip, it will probably be cheaper (or at least a wash)to take a cab. Round trip this should run around $60. I haven't used the off airport parking facilities, but I will atest that the long term lots on the airport property are a nightmare. |

Parking Lot P4 at Newark is great. It is one Airtrain stop from Terminal C. (approximately 30 seconds on the Airtrain). It costs $20 per day. A car to the airport costs 30 bucks plus tip and the airport taxi home costs 27 plus tip. I park at that garage for anything up to 4 days. Lots P1, P2, and P3 are only $10 bucks (I think?) but I've never parked in them. The garage is great. When you are driving up to the airport, stay in the left lane towards the rental cars (well before the terminals start veering off to the right) You'll see the garage on your left. Take a left at the light, and the garage is then right there on your right. |

I use AvisStar all the time. You have to pay a transpertation fee of $24 then like $7 per day. It's better for longer trips but it's extreamly quick and easy. |

We used Avistar recently. We had absolutely no wait and it was very easy - no waiting in lines. A bus was waiting as soon as we dropped our car off to take us to the terminal. Upon return, we called the number that they gave us when we landed. After we picked up our luggage, the bus was waiting to take us to the lot. Our car was waiting for us. Much better than the airport lots and cheaper than a taxi/van would have been for all 4 of us and lots of luggage. |

Avistar also frequently has pretty good coupon deals in those "junk mail" coupon packets that come fairly often. And, I think they also have coupons on their website. Unfortunately, I can't find the url right now - I know that this has been discussed a few months ago, but with the search engine down, I don't know how to find it. |
