We need to replace the glass for our 104" outdoor table (umbrella smashed it during high winds at end of June). Fortunoff's (where we got the table)will deliver replacement glass but won't install it. We're not willing to take the chance on putting it in ourselves. Has anyone used a local glass company for this type of project?

Check in the Home Fix-it section under the tempered glass thread. Jgberkeley & I recommended Orange Valley glass. I too lost a tabletop under similar situations and OVG replaced it.

Thought I'd follow up. Gentleman I spoke to at OVGlass was as nice as could be. But, given large size of table the cost of replacement by him didn't make sense, nor did it pay for him to install glass Fortunoff's would deliver. So, I went there today, and given that it's now clearance time for this merchandise, they substantially discounted a new table for me and are not charging to deliver it! Morale: always close the umbrella over your glass table after dinner!

Umbrella was open. It was raining hard and winds got really strong (this was the Saturday night in late June when a lot of trees in Maplewood lost branches). Winds were apparently strong enough to cause open umbrella to tip (yes, it had a weighted base), smashing into glass and shattering table.
