I was wondering if anyone had any sure fire remedies for eliminating the cigarette smell from wood furniture. We recently inherited cherry bedroom furniture that was in a small house with two heavy smokers for about 50 years -- it seems to have permeated it completely. I put those odor removers that are made from volcanic rock in each drawer and shut them and left them for a month -- it is not as bad but it is still noticable. any home remedies for this out there?

Although I haven't tried this, baking soda is very good at absorbing odors. Some other tips in this link possibly
