The great Al Kooper will be playing for free tomorrow night at Rockefeller Park at the World Financial Center (Chambers and West Side Hway). Al's a musical legend who has played with everybody from Bob Dylan, the Stones and the Beatles (well at least George), as well as fronting the Blues Project and starting Blood Sweat and Tears (1st LP before they went downhill). He's a great songwriter, singer and musician and there may be some, "special guests". Anyone who works downtown should not miss this and those who don't should take the train in, Al's one of the "Real Ones" still alive (as well as being a home boy of Queens N.Y. Don't miss him !!!. |

Al was my neighbor growing up in Queens. Glad to hear that he is still around. Brings back the good ol'days! Sigh.. NCJ aka LL- Any and all posts are my personal opinions, not as an employee of the South Orange Public Library. |
