there has been a rash of house robberies in maplewood (fairview terrace, up the hill and parallel to wyoming) ... i know of at least two houses broken into in the LAST WEEK during the daytime ... plus at least one car break-in six months ago overnight ... nice, quiet street ... not so safe ... secure your house well and turn on the alarm systems !!! |

Dear wrandolph, Do you mean robberies or burglaries? These words mean very different things. Thank you, Ms. Wordsmith

He (or she) presumably meant burglary, but we still need to know whether NJ has extended by statute the common law definition of burglary to include daytime intrusions into dwellings and intrusions at anytime into cars. I would be more concerned to hear about robbery in Maplewood. In any case, I'm staying inside for the time being. Ok, only a week to go... |
