As the owner of Motion Fitness Club, I wanted to give readers an update regarding deborahg's membership cancellation. After speaking with deborahg we chose to waive her August03 dues and cancel her as of July03 as she wished. She was quite happy with our response and has been amicably resolving any billing disputes with our company.

We strive to give excellent customer service to all Motion Fitness Club members and attempt to treat people fairly, even when a miscommunication has occurred. Our most important word of advice to health club members....remember to get a written copy of all cancellation and/or freeze requests from your club. This both protects the consumer from any unauthorized charges, and enables the club to accurately adjust members' accounts. In addition, please carefully read and review all cancellation rights before signing any health club membership agreement. We ask all customers to initial our agreements by cancellation terms so as to avoid these types of misunderstandings on the customer's part.

I have put an exorbitant effort into creating a professional, rewarding health club experience for our members. I hope to retain our excellent reputation in our community.

Thank you for taking the effort to come onto MOL to state your case. It reflects well on you.

I hope this is a new trend for local businesses.
