We have a bathtub that has an anti-slip surface. The anti-slip pads in the tub are dirty and discolored and nothing that I have done (including endless scrubbing and a soak in bleach) has done anyhing to lessen the discoloration. Does anyone know whether these things can be shaved off or if there is another cleaning alternative? |

I pulled mine up a few weeks ago for the very same reason. It is a tough job but eventually they all came up with a little elbow grease and a razor blade. (the kind used for scaping paint) After that the outlines were still visable so I cleaned those with Zap, worked great. |

The anti-slips are glued down with one coat rubber cement. I suggest use use rubber cement thinner to remove them. You do not need to use a lot of the thinner. Let the thinner soak around the slips for a short time. I bought some at the Brush Stroke in South Orange. |
