I'm sure I'm not the only one getting all these great vacation deals called in almost on a daily basis. We went to one on Thursday night. I don't know, sometimes when something seems to good to be true, it isn't?

So, has anyone had any expierence with Vacation Network, Inc.?

A "Standard Package Deal" = 20 full week vacations, 1 to 4 people, condo's - suites - villas, worldwide, No Time Limit.... All with a frozen fixed rate of $499, or a total cost of $9,995.00.

They're located in Eatontown, NJ, and based out of Evans, GA. They have a web-site www,vacationnetworkinc.com

Any info would be helpful...

i've known some people who were happy with timeshares. typically retired folks who have a lot of sontrol over when they can go, since you can't get certain locations certain times of the year.

there is often a hidden charge for the room, sometimes called a "cleaning" charge. also, there can be local "hotel" taxes collected.

i think if you go to priceline.com you can get a room for about the same price per week, chosen for the days you want to travel. priceline.com rules for hotel rooms- i've used it scores of times and never paid more than $90 for a room never below 4-star in quality.

one big drawback is if the company goes bankrupt then you'll find out you own nothing. there are condos tacked up everywhere "leased" by gajillions of timeshare marketers- there is often no semblance of balance between the number of beds and the number of nights they have sold.

Thank you Hello, you're right, one big drawback is if the company goes bankrupt then we'll find out we own nothing.

Actually, this "Vacation Program" is not a time-share deal... We already own five different weeks of time-share, and have been very happy with this system of doing business for over twenty-five years.

What makes this vacation program all the more interesting is, they’ll give us two vacation weeks for every one-week of time share that we sign over to them. So rather than banking a week if we need to, we can just give it to them and the company will give us back two weeks of their vacation time when ever, and where ever we like.

Therefore, what I’m really interested in finding out is if anyone on-line has signed on to a Vacation Plan deal like this. This concept on the surface is very attractive. If you check the web-site you’ll see a little more about what I’m saying. The only reason I’m checking further is, it almost seems like it’s too good of a deal to be true????
