Ever since the power came back on, my Sears range has been displaying oven and broiler settings in Celsius rather than Fahrenheit. I would like to switch the setting back to Fahrenheit but I don't know how. The solution to this dilemma is supposed to be in the owner's manual but all I could find were the installation guide and a card about the care of the burners.

I called Sears help line but they said they couldn't help me unless I purchased another copy of the owner's manual which could be sent to me within five business days. (The answer would be in the owners manual). grr!

Could anyone out there tell me how to readjust the temperature settings?

I don't have a parts number for the range but the parts number for the installation guide is 8273430.

Thanks in advance.

It seems that the preferred method these days for displaying either Celsius or Farenheit on heating and cooling digital thermostats is to press the up and down arrows simultaneously. Sometimes you have to hold them down for 5 seconds.
Give that a shot if you haven't already.

Master Plumber:

Thanks so much for the quick response. I really appreciate the help.

Unfortunately, it does not seem possible to press both temperature adjustment arrows simultaneously on this range.

Mystery solved thanks to master plumber's hint. Using the time honored method of process of elimination, I discovered that it was the broil button that had to be depressed for 5 seconds. All is back to normal.

Thanks again!!!
