Fox had about as much a chance of winning as a looney in a monkey bin. I HATE FOX AND I'M A REPUBLICAN. Without an honest media, there is no democracy or free world. Fox should be shut down.

Judge Denny Chin asked Fox's attorney; "do you really believe the title is ambiguous?"
Talk about rocks and hard places! I feel sorry for her. Rupert can take the express to hell.

Thanks hello for mentioning this. I shall purchase this book as a capitalistic expression of my freedom of speech. Bill Maher, if you happen to watch him on cable, is also quite funny and on target as of late. Of course, the targets seem to be obvious to those who choose to see.

Fox is a joke. I used to watch just to shout at the screen, but that got boring and now I can't remember the last time I tuned into the channel. Speak with your feet or your remote in this case and Fox will change or be gone.

As stated in the article:
"Presale orders of "Lies" drove it to the top sales position at the online bookseller Amazon.com. "

-Fox has done Franken a huge favor by generating tremendous free controversy-publicity with the now squashed law suit. I remember some time after the release of his past successful Limbaugh book that Franken said, "I'm doing so well with this that I am considering becoming a republican". I'm sure that we can expect similar "cat-that-ate-the-canary" comments from him after this ruling, -"perhaps on Fox?"

akl, I feel bad for the attorney also. The only thing worse than a client with a crappy claim is a client with a crappy claim who makes you go to court to defend it. Though I respect the hell out of Judge Chin, I think it is inappropriate to ask an attorney if she really believes her own arguments, largely because it is simply irrelevant whether she does or not. I cringe when I hear a judge ask that.

I hear that all the time, Pierce. A few months ago I got, "That can't really be your argument" on a federal indigent criminal appeal. I said, "That is my argument, Judge." The decision denying my appeal beat me home.

Third Circuit case? I remember a Third Circuit judge (I think it may have been McKee) asking an attorney: "You don't really believe that, do you?" I have never been asked that question but the pat answer I am always prepared to give is: "If I didn't believe it, Judge, I wouldn't be here."

Flt -- please clarify that you -- as a republican -- want to "shut down" Fox. I don't care for it either (except for Brit Hume, who's equally skeptical of everyone, I feel). Do you mean the government ought to shut them down?

"I HATE FOX". What a statement. so much to work with from that mature statement. You know what I hate ? Well I'll tell you:

NPR
CNN
ABC
CBS
NBC
New York Times
LA Times
Washington Post
DNC

You know why ? because they are biased, hate enything patriotic and american and want the downfall of our country to occur, and are almost gleeful in both watching it and predicting it. It takes courage and conviction to stand up for what this country was founded on and believing in the US of A. All it takes to put it down and malign it is a set of lungs. Al FRanken is the biggest punk around. Did anyone see his totally comical meltdown on CNN? The guy should never be allowed to host a program again, as his brain is way to angry to make any sense ....

I hate Terrorsists
I hate Dictators
I hate communists
I hate socialists posing as democrats
I significantly dislike the French

And being a patriot is all about hate, isn't it?

I hope that the true patriots can still find it in their hearts to reach out to you. It's been a bit of a strain lately.

Franken nails Fox in his book. Backed up with reproductions of real documents, this book should discredit once and for all the likes of O'Reilly, Coulter, Hannity, Limbaugh et al. The title says it all.

FreeTibet likes to complain about the bias of certain mainstream publications; Fox is 100% bias, no facts need intrude on the ceaseless rant.
