anyone seen Donnie Darko? randomly flipped it on when I saw it on the guide at midnight Friday; couldn't tear myself away. though generally beat on Fridays, I stayed up until 2 am, hypnotized by this movie. love the ambiguity and genre-blending. have now been researching it a little and found it has a nice little cult following. acting was fantastic, story mesmerizing, cinematography and tone dead-on and though very dark, appropriate to the story and messages. the music was so good it's still with me. though - I think this is a movie you either love or hate. why are you wearing that stupid man suit? |

Thank you Mike! I was trying to remember that line to quote but couldn't quite recall the word "motion". |

thanks, steel! my husband found the DVD for $10 while we were shopping this weekend, so we got it, and watched the deleted scenes so far. the website is also kind of fun, though it ends abruptly. it does allow you to read The Philosophy of Time Travel (also on the DVD, but tough to read). tell no one I gave this to you. |
