Does anyone know where to find outdoor wooden shutters, old or new for windows. We have those ugly thin metal ones and I would like some nice wooden ones.
Thanks!

Try Timberlane in PA. Our cedar wooden shutters are coming next week from them.

We ordered two pairs of shutters from Kestrel Shutters -- www.diyshutters.com. They have a wide variety of styles that come in many sizes. We were able to find a very close match to our existing shutters.

I just used a guy, local, to build from scratch 9 shutters to match those on my house. (1919)

4 had to be re-scaled as I replaced the windows in a re-model job.

He did a great job. $60 each, then we took off 20% after a talk.

If you want the name private line me.
