I recall from the Ryan/DeLuca mailings during the primaries that they took credit for getting $20,000 from the state for renovating the Playground at Dehart park (It did specify this on their mailer). All they have done is put up six swings which couldn't have cost more than a few thousand dollars. My wife was at her sisters house in Avon and they obtained the same money, $20,000, for one park. The amount of slides, swings, etc was 4 to 5 times what is in Dehart Park. Where did the other $15,000 + go? Ryan, DeLuca, Beuler? |

"Where did the other $15,000 + go? Ryan, DeLuca, Beuler?" OK, now that you have our attention, what makes you think the money went anywhere? Isn’t it possible it was spent on something else, or just waiting for another project? ___________________________________________________________________ Waiting for an all-day Jitney, or some better way we all can get to Dehart Park... |

The flyer from Ryan and DeLuca specified that the funds were for DeHart Park and to replace the old playground. Clearly, they did not spend more than a few thousand dollars. There was no other work done. As far as other projects in the works? Do not know. Common sense would say that any more work to the playground would have been done before the summer started. I will bet you that this remaining $15,000 will never see Dehart Park. |

Have to say the more I think about this, the more I really want to know where the money is (or went). I will have to make some calls this week to the Town Hall. Should be fun.. and interesting. |

Maintenance? Equipment to keep the fields? Unused funds? Why make ridiculous leaps of judgment like this? |

The grant was specifically for the playgrounds, not the baseball fields, tennis courts, etc. They took down a slide and 2 sets of swings and replaced them with one set of swings. Other towns received the same grants for their playgrounds and put up 4 times the amount of equipment. There are no "ridiculous leaps of judgement". I want answers. |

Hey, go for it... I'm sure the details are available. __________________________________________________________ Waiting for an all-day Jitney, or some better way to get to the Dehart playground... |

Why didn't you call and ask before making these ridiculous statements in public, anonymously? |

Neighbors have called, Deluca himself, and have been told that "They must do a survey to see what the people want". This was back in late May/early June. Nothing more that a BS statement. |
