We need to get the liner of our chimney replaced as the chimney is full of debris. We received estimates ranging from $800 to $3000.

Does anyone know what is a reasonable price and what to watch out for?

Any recommendations?

Thanks

One thing to watch out for is someone telling you that you need a new liner when you may be able to repair it or the damage is not so bad that you can live with it. My liner has a few tiles missing, they all seem to decay with age. Just be sure it really needs replacing.

Please elaborate. What kind of debris? Are the liner tiles at the base of the fireplace?
