Can anybody recommend someone to repair plaster walls with large gaping holes? I don't want to spend an arm and leg but do not want to attempt this myself. Perhaps someone has used a local handyman to do this type of work?

Thanks

Hmmm, plaster...
Always seems to be more plaster on the floor than was on the wall, or ceiling in my case.
Here's some pics of the day my plaster fell down in Maplewood. http://homepage.mac.com/jocnsoc/PhotoAlbum43.html

I thought about putting up a tin ceiling but now will probably just put up sheetrock with some recessed lighting.

This is what it looks like now

Here's the floor after I took a BFH to the ceiling
