Hi all,

I'm building a patio. Its roughly 15ft x 20ft. I've dug my hole and leveled it and allowed for water run-off, shoveled 4 yards of 3/4inch gravel into it. Now I'm ready to tamp.

My question is: Since (incase I didnt mention it) my patio has only one 90degree corner I find it hard to set up lumber for screeding so I'm wondering if I can just check it roughly for level and do the screeding with the tamper if I start in the middle and work my way out to the edges checking with a straigh-edge and line level and 4ft level as I go along?

any pros out there or DIY'ers who have built their own patios?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Curt

Oh! BTW... If you'd like to see this patio in its present state, its online at: http://www.cswayne.com/patio/patio2.html

Thanks,

Curt
