I need to replace two sidewalk squares (finally). Who should I use? Who shouldn't I use? Any suggestions, I don't have a lot of money to spend! Anyone know if you can get a few houses in the same neighborhood to do this can you get a lower price -- being that you have the cement truck out there already? Please, little help?

Alg,
Here's what you do:
Dig a really deep hole where you want to fix the sidewalk. Whenever anyone falls in, charge them 10 bucks to help them out. Explain that it's the town's fault that you have to pay to fix the problem and can't afford it. You should have enough money to fix it in about a month or two. Good luck!
There's nothing like being in a BAR!

Funny, I was all drunk on Saturday night and guess who's house I fell down in front of? I don't think my falling had much to do with the sidewalk though ....

Thank GOD nobody saw!

Seriously folks ... little help?

It's hard to get someone to come to your house for two squares. Wait till you see neighbors getting their sidewalks done, then ask the contractors to sneak over and do yours too. Should cost between $250 and $300.

so anyone in the collinwood/sunset terrace/colonial terrace neighborhood want to hook up and see if we can get someone to "do us"? I feel guilty everytime I see my sidewalk.

Algerbra,

Are your sidewalks concrete and apprear to be seperate? If so, their called "Flags". If they're not cracked then that can be lifted and raised. If they're heaving, under mine them.
We've done this many times and it's not such a big deal so long as absolute removal, disposal, forming and pouring aren't involved.
If your fortunate enough to be in the easy pass lane on this one you can do this one yourself. (With a little help from your friends).
Give Rountree Repairs a call in Maplewood.
I would like to offer my services but am unable to consider for a least a month.

Best of luck.
