I'll do the rehab myself. I just can't find a handyman who is available. I have been begging to write someone a check, but no one wants one.

Actually, I think I did. You had an emergency that day and couldn't make it.
If you would like to give me a bid, I'd be happy to set up another appointment.
Basically, we are tearing out panelling, re-drywalling where needed, retiling a bathroom, and fixing/increasing electrical outlets (I have an electrician lined up).
Baby is due on November 15, so work must start very soon.

it is pathetic. i've posted for three different projects, and i'm willing to pay a fair price. zero.
i'm going to drive over to bloomfield this weekend and try to find some day laborers over there. |

Someone else stood me up this morning. I guess I should start confirming appointments like the dentist's office.
Not to make a mountain out of a molehill but what other profession is like this? "I forgot"? These contractors need to get date books. I understand that making estimates is tedious and unprofitable, but come on.
Meanwhile, I've missed my train and cancelled a morning meeting. |
