Just finished! Ended up replacing old, not so great bluestone, with tumbled pavers. We replaced walkways and rebuilt/enlarged a patio. The contractor we finally chose, after interviewing several, was fabulous. His price was close to the lowest, but he was great to work with, and did not try to sell me more than was needed. In fact, I didn't really know exactly what I wanted when we started, but when he finished it was exactly right! His name is Dan Smitty, phone number 973.571.0486 good luck!

Snowmom,

How about a before and after photo of your project. A picture is worth a 1000 words!

I highly recommend Birch Hill Landscaping in Millburn. Our yard was totally overhauled by them and looks great. We had a big project, with little or no landscaping done in many years to the home we had purchased. Handled grading and drainage issues (we no longer get any water in the basement - not even with Isabel), new plants, etc. They listened to what we wanted (several other landscape architects didn't seem to want to do that). Stuck to budget, had great ideas and a professional staff. Plus they came back several times, without our asking, to check things out and make any changes that were needed. Contact is Vincent at 973-376-0538.

I highly recomend Dean Weiss (he's an advertiser here on MOL). He did our entire yard and also installed a new patio. We could not be happier and Dean is a pleasure to work with. His number is 973-403-9889.
