We're hosting some out of towners (business) at the Mariott in Teaneck and had planned to go to the Ironbound tonight. Based on our trip home last night (awful, due to construction, plus the Giants crowds today)can someone suggest a great alternative? (We did the Chart House in Weehawken last night.)

Any great ideas?

Azucar
10 Dempsey Ave., Edgewater
(201) 886-0747

Azucar is a wonderful Cuban restaurant. “Azucar” is Spanish for “sugar” and this is a very sweet little place. It is very Latin, complete with live entertainment on weekends and cigar smoke every night. The food is very authentic and very good. Seafood is a strength as one might expect, but there are also plenty of chicken and beef selections. The service is efficient and helpful. This gem is a bit out of the way, but it is definitely worth the trip. $$$

And I agree. Definitely call first... I haven't been there in over a year.
