I talked to one of the organizers for this event and it sounds AWESOME! They have some pretty cool items up for bid - a week in Costa Rica, donated by Rutgers Painting, a snow blower from P & P Lawnmower, gift certificate to SJG, seems like a lot of the local businesses donated - good way to introduce yourself to a new business or 2!

October 2nd, beginning at 7 PM, Woman's Club, tickets are $10 and if you buy in advance you get some sort of extra tickets for the "canned" auctions - all according the the flyers in town. you can get tickets various places in the Village.

Joel Ziegler and I (Republican Candidates for Township Committee) wish to auction off one hour of our time. During this time we would do the bidding of the highest bidder (as long as the bequest was legal, moral, and safe, and not too embarrassing, politically incorrect, or upsetting to our wives.) For example we would cut their lawn, paint their fence, or rake their leaves. We would not agree to convert religion, change parties, root against Seton Hall, or sing stupid ribald drinking songs at the Pub (unless it raised one heck of a lot of money for the auction). Who do we talk to?

Don't foget the auction is TOMORROW! I've talked to quite a few folks that are going and tons of local merchants donated lots of cool stuff. It should be a great night and all the money raised -stays right here in town - NEAT!

Call me crazy, but does the money raised go towards even more Dickens village houses?
