People have had varying success obtaining their data cards from CVI. Question for Mr. Ryan...are we entitled to see the cards? What is the best way to obtain a copy? One of the best ideas from last night's meeting was that ALL information should be made available to us so that we can decide whether the reval is fair. A good start would be if we could all see the card that details our respective properties. At my meeting with CVI, they let me glance at it quickly, but would not give me a copy. I would like to evaluate it more closely. |

You can send them a self addressed stamped envelope with your name, address, block and lot number and they will mail it to you. |

May I suggest to the TC that all property cards mailed as a matter of course, rather than by request? I'm sure it would be much easier to send all of them, rather than read individual letters and search for the cards, when so many of the town will request them. |

Hear hear! The TC should demand that Certified send a copy of the data card to EACH homeowner in the town as soon as possible. This "taxation with no information" is RE-diculous. (To Certified, however, such a move no doubt would open up a huge can of worms for all those so-far "silent" property owners.) Let Certified defend its work! And let the TC ease this individual administrative nightmare! |

Just go to Town Hall when the Tax Appraiser's Office is open. Tell the person behind the counter your block and lot number. The data card for your property will be printed out. Process takes less than a minute. |
