Has anyone used them for catering or such? If so, would love to know what your experience was, quality of food and its display, type of event you used them for, overall service.... Thank you. |

We ordered food from them for an afternoon party just a couple weeks ago. They have amazing sandwiches and various salads. We enjoyed red potatoes with basil and olive oil. We also had a cucumber and tomato salad that some people liked and some did not. We ordered from the menu, but the owner said that he can work with you to create a special menu. I would definitely order from them again. |

I would love to recommend a local caterer, Diana Hart Fine Catering, if you are looking for something upscale and different. Her number is 973-762-7457. She lives locally, but doesn't advertise, so most people don't know her. She is absolutely fabu. I am not knocking Savory, as I have been meaning to check them out myself. Have a great event! jml |

Thank you both for your replies. I think we are going to check out Savory and will post our experience when the event is over. Their food sounds really creative and he works with you regarding any type of food you want (with culinary suggestions...).

Hope it's not too late to add a good word for Savory: This past Valentine's Day we ordered dinner from them - they didn't have any specific menu for the holiday, I just discussed what we like with the owner and he came up with a menu. When I came to pick up the dinner, he gave me specific instructions for heating it up and even for how to arrange it for serving. It was an outstandingly delicious meal. |

Pamela and her hub, chefs both, own Savory Foods and she comes down to the farmers market - stop by and check out her food and have a chat with her. She is totally down to earth and friendly, it makes me happy she is a biz owner here in town...she knows my baby by name, and greets my dad (who is memory impaired), which makes him laugh out loud. And, yes, the food is delish as well! |

Sorry to have taken so long in responding.... busy as heck. The party and food were great. About 40 or so family/friends. Tons of alcohol imbibement and Savory's food went over very well. The menu was intended to be informal and easy to serve - EVERYTHING was a hit - mucho delicious - On all different homemade breads, the following sandwiches: 1) house roasted turkey with cheddar and apple balsamic vinaigrette 2) smoked salmon with goat cheese and arugula 3) roasted portobello mushroom with caramelized onion and goat cheese (served warm - INCREDIBLE) 4) lemon thyme chicken salad Salads: 1) roasted vegetable 2) Thai noodle Quiche: Shitake mushroom and broccoli Giant fruit platter My own homemade desserts and appetizers. I would love to try a more formal dinner with Savoy, but will have to wait to the next occasion. So, all in all, a great recommendation !!
